Windsong's The Fang of Zion
Fang was the sole purpose for the development Timberwolf Organics.
Fang was what was referred to as a 'hard keeper' this is an animal that is difficult to feed and consequently hard to get and keep weight on. For the first couple of years Fang often had to be hand fed, food would just sit in his dish, untouched or barely nibbled on for days. His lack of appetite was a cause for great concern. Several different brands of dog foods were ineffective since none of them really seemed to spike his appetite, canned foods were added or substituted, they worked somewhat but only for a few days. He liked cooked prime rib but even that he would only eat in very small amounts. Finally a deal was made with a butcher to supply coarse ground beef to which we added cooked oats or brown rice, fresh crushed blueberries and several other kinds of ground up fruits, yogurt or cottage cheese, cooked eggs occasionally and a variety of vegetable pulp, herbs and oil.
At last we watched Fang develop an appetite and finally he began to fill out, his coat began bloom and he seemed a lot happier. Of course it was significant chore preparing Fangs meals on a daily basis, rarely ever convenient and as with any raw meat products the strictest standards of food safety and sanitation had to he adhered to in its preparation and of course the appropriate levels of vitamins and minerals had to be added to the formula to ensure his diet was completely balanced.
So from Fangs finicky appetite came the humble beginnings of what many people are today calling the finest dog food in the world.
Fang has since passed away, he is still lamented daily for nothing can ever fill his paw prints. 4 of Fangs offspring still live at home at the Timberwolf Rural Settlement. All of Fangs progeny were raised for their first year on a raw diet such as the one developed for Fang. They are all healthy and strong with wonderfully colorful personalities in their own right, however Fang was quite the exception. He had an extremely noble character. He could look at you and make you feel like a mere human in his presence. Other dogs seemed to tremble in reverence to him as he sauntered by. He was very laid back, had an uncanny intelligent human side but did not suffer fools gladly and was generally aloof with those he deemed unworthy of his attention but if he took a shine to you it left you feeling extremely honored to have been recognized by this intensely regal animal.
God speed Fang, you are dearly missed by those you have left behind.

Duke
" Timberwolf,

Thank you for striving to provide the best food possible. I have tried many others and have had decent success, in regards to weight management and energy levels. It wasn't until a year or so ago that I tried Timberwolf. Duke, my black lab, looks and performs better than he ever has while on Timberwolf. I hunt him all winter in extreme cold and ice, and summer is no break for him either. We spend atleast two days a week on the beach, where he plays hard for 6-8 hours a day. Again, thank you for a superior product and the quality certainly out weighs the price adjustment! "

Georgie
" Just wanted to tell you how much Georgie, pic attached, and I appreciate your foods. I adopted G from a shelter which displayed dogs at a PetSmart. When we got him, he was slightly underweight and his coat was dry and harsh feeling and he scratched a lot. He also had chronic anal gland problems which necessitated monthly visits to the vet.

I heard from Dog.com about your foods and decided to check them out. Georgie loves the taste. His coat is softer, shinier and his scratching is down to a normal level. He now goes to the vet only twice a year and his food stealing attempts have almost stopped. I really believe it is due to the balanced nutrition in your foods that all these improvements have occurred.

In my order tonight, I added your Felid food for my daughter's cat, Julius. They have moved in with us and I have no doubt this food will satisfy his nutritional needs, improve his coat and keep him younger feeling than he is.

Thank you for your product. "

Mr. Pupps
"Dear Timberwolf Organics,

I just wanted to write and say that my dog and I absolutely LOVE your food. I own a tri-color fluffy Pembroke Corgi and your food saved his life. When I got him at 12 weeks old he had many stomach and digestive issues. Every time he would eat he would vomit and have diarrhea. Over the first month I owned him, we went to the vet 17 times. They gave him worming medications, steroids, put in a feeding tube and had many other unpleasant exploratory surgeries and treatments. Nothing stopped him from being sick. I had allergy testing done on him as a last result. We had to travel a few hours to a vet that would do the tests. We found out that he was severely allergic to all grains including rice along with many of the preservatives found in regular dog foods. I was devastated because every food I came across had some type of grain product or preservatives in it. By this time Mr. Pupps was just skin and bones. He had no energy, his coat was terrible, he had sores all over his body. I tried cooking for him but he would not eat, he could not handle any of the raw foods, the high oil content aggravated his IBS, and he wouldn't eat any fruits or veggies.

One night I was on the Internet looking for some answers...any answers and I came across your web site. You had all the ingredients listed for your foods and you had such a selection plus 2 grainfree products! I found that a pet food dealer in my town carried your product and that morning I promptly went there and purchased a bag of the Wild dry & natural. Usually when I put food in my dog's bowl he would just sniff it, look dejected, and go lay down in his bed. But as soon as the Timberwolf hit the bowl he perked up and showed interest in the food. I left the room to answer the phone and when I came back about 6 or 7 minutes later, the bowl was EMPTY!!!! and Pupps was begging for more. I fed him four times that day and he devoured every bowl full. Within one week of feeding him your food, he gained 8 pounds. My vet was astonished, he had been talking to me about euthanasia, earlier that month, because Pupps was not getting better, was suffering and was basically starving because no other food was agreeing with his system. That was a year ago and I am happy to say Mr. Pupps is a happy, healthy playful dog. He has passed his service dog tests with flying colors and has made my life so much better. He now does his happy dance whenever he sees his food bowl coming. I wanted to thank you for a wonderful product. It truly changed my dog's life; as well as mine. "

Sincerely,

Bridgette

Tyson
" He’s a rescue dog we got 4 yrs ago…
He’s part shepherd, part lab and part chow we think.
He came up from Texas to the northwest with a family that had to give him up.
We’re so lucky…he’s really a cool dog and smart too!
Must be the Bison TW!"

Jack
" Dear Timberwolf Organics, I just wanted to let you know that you have literally saved my dog, Jack's (a 7.5 yr old White Shepherd), life. For over a year now, he has been struggling with a medical condition called Perianal Fistulas and food allergies that cause severe diahrrea. PF is a nasty disease that affects his rectal tissue where it causes holes to form. He was placed on MANY EXPENSIVE medications, but still continued to be sick- severe constipation from the swelling of his rectum, vomitting fecal matter, loss of appetite which led to a loss of 35 pounds, loss of fur and overall lack of energy. The vet suggested that we feed him a grain-free diet which we did, but little changed. He underwent 4 procedures to empty his bowel and colon under anesthesia. As a last ditch effort, we even brought him to an herbalist who gave him a powder of various herbs to add to his wet food, but he refused to eat any of the food we offered him (he was just too sick). An unknown mass was then found in his rectum and we, as a family, decided that Jack would be maintained on Prednisone and pain killers until he just was in too much pain and we would let him go peacefully. That very afternoon, I went to the pet store to purchase what I thought would be his last bag of dog food. I saw the bag of Timberwolf Organics Blue Ocean, and on a whim, checked the label. It contained almost every herb that the herbalist had prescribed and was fish-not meat- based. I was hesitant due to the price, but went ahead and purchased it anyway. I brought it home to him, mixed it with his old food and he devoured it. I don't know how he did it, but he actually picked out only the little bits of your food- leaving a half bowl of his old food!!! In about 2 months of eating your food, he has had such a great improvement. I do still supplement with fresh cooked veggies for the added fiber and water content. His bowels are GORGEOUS (you know you really love your pet when you can say that with a smile) and he has gained back most of his weight. Even the fistulas have improved. The rectal mass that was found by the vet is now 1/4 of the size that it was. They say that the Prednisone is the reason, but I disagree- he had been on it off and on this whole time without change. I truly believe that your product has been his miracle! Thank you from my entire family. We look forward to many happy, healthier years with our furbaby now! "

Monty
" We love your food and we run a mastiff group in our city with 137 members. Since switching to Timberwolf, our English Mastiff Monty's coat is softer, shinier and he is beaming with health. We are amazed ( as are our members when we tell them) that Monty at 150+ pounds and 21 months eats between 4-5 cups of Timberwolf a day rather than the 8-9 cups of the lesser foods. We are so happy to know that he is eating wonderful food and thank you from the bottom of our hearts! "

Jasper
" Jasper was originally one of 17 puppies and dogs apprehended by the SPCA from northern BC, from a man the SPCA considers the worst abuser in their history. The first picture shows the condition of one of her siblings when they were rescued. Jasper had skin, eye, and digestive problems. She was started on Timberwolf at about 6 months of age. As the second picture shows, Jasper has been thriving ever since. She is very fit, extremely healthy, and absolutely beautiful!!! "

Cheers,

Navajo
" Another thank you from a pleased customer. my German Shepherd, "Navajo", had chronic stomach problems since he was a puppy. He was always having diarrhea or throwing up after he ate. The vets diagnosed him, with irritable bowel syndrome, but that's it, -no treatment, he just had to live with it. He has also always been a very picky eater, we tried so many brands, he disliked them all. At one point, i had to cook his meals for him, that was all he would eat! Then i discovered Timberwolf Organics in a small pet store, and i decided to try the ocean blue formula.
Miracle # 1 - he liked it!
Miracle # 2- he digestive troubles went away!!
He is now 10 years old, and everyone thinks he's 3 ! "

Thank you,

Miriam Shechter

Belle
" Attached is a picture of our Belle, a pitbull/foxhound (?) mix. She was a Hurricane Katrina victim, found as a puppy alone on the New Orleans streets. She is the sweetest, most happy-go-lucky, friendly dog I've ever had and we are so lucky to have found her. She is absolutely thriving on Timberwolf Organics. She loves it (prior to trying your food, she wasn't very excited about eating) and has lots of energy, nice teeth, nice coat, etc. We rotate between the flavors and use the canned food sometimes as well.

Thanks for making your great food, keep it up. "

Amelia
" I got Amelia from a Rescue Organization. They do their best on limited donations so her diet had been poor and her stress level very high. Her coat and skin was dry and flaky and she was 4 or 5 pounds underweight. She was 2 or 3 years old. I put her on the Nutrient Dense Lamb and Apple for a while and she blossomed. She now gets a blend of Wild and Natural with Dakota Bison or Wilderness Elk or Ocean Blue. Look at how silky her coat is! She's very healthy! "

Thanks!!

Jasmine and Caden
" Hi,

Another Timberwolf Organics success story for you. My two shepherds are now 12 (Jasmine) and 11-1/2 (Caden) and have been on your food for 5 or 6 years, VERY successfully and are doing wonderfully for their ages. Prior to finding your food, Caden was raw fed for 5 long years. It was the only food that would work for him; after trying almost every other dog food on the market he was still underweight, low stamina and food aggressive, with lots of diarrhea. He did well on raw, but it was a lot of work, as well as hard when traveling or in the kennel. From the first try with your food, no problems! To top if off, they both love the food (I rotate the flavors) and I saw no negative changes coming off of raw, if anything they gained in physical condition. I would have been willing to go back to raw if it was best for them. But their coats are nice, they are full of energy ("throw the toy, throw the toy, throw the toy"), white (although well-worn) teeth etc. People are always amazed at their ages. I couldn't ask for more and sure do appreciate the ease of feeding kibble. I add eggs/meat/yogurt at times, but not always. Thanks so much for making my life easier and keeping them in great shape. "

Filbert
" Dear Folks at Timberwolf Organics:

I'm writing to say what a great dog food you have in Ocean Blue!

Last July my husband & I adopted our first dog, a retired racing Greyhound. From the beginning we knew that diarrhea was common in the breed so we weren't surprised to find that our dog had stools which were less than easy to clean up. We had him tested for parasites and various other things that might have caused this. We switched foods 5 times, always going for the highest quality foods, favoring "holistic" believing that if we avoided foods with wheat, corn, soy, by products, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives we would avoid ingredients which were common culprits in allergies and sensitivities. We tried a nutritionally dense grain free food in the beginning, we tried lamb & rice, we even tried a well known fish and potato variety with no luck. I noticed on the fish and potato that I had purchased several of the first few ingredients were "barley and rye flour". Our vet had been encouraging us to find a novel protein and carbohydrate, with moderate levels of protein and fat, which we found with the first "fish" food we tried, but then I began to think about the grains and wondered if our dog could have a sensitivity to those as well. After much research I decided to try your Ocean Blue as it fit all of the nutrient criteria I was looking for. It was an immediate and huge success! It was almost like a miracle! Our dog loves the taste and his stools firmed right up. I recommended it to another "Greyhound Person" who was having the same trouble with their newly adopted dog and it worked great for their dog too.

So thanks a million for making this food. I sure appreciate it and so does our dog, Filbert

Rawls Pack
" Hello; I am writing on behalf of your products. I have a sled dog team currently located in Northern Maryland. I've been feeding my huskies the Dakota Bison for a little over a year now. They grown larger and stronger than a lot of some of the other mushers huskies that I know. One of my team dogs was the runt of the litter, and I acquired another husky from the same litter, he was much taller and stronger than his brother. I've told many other mushers about your products. Attached are a few of my team members. Thank you. "

Merlyn and Nymawae
" Hi,
I didn't know where else to send this but I wanted to compliment you on your Lamb with Apples food. I have Dobermans, CH Marienburg's Magic Man, WAC--- AKA "Merlyn". Before we tried your food, feeding time for Merlyn was stressful. We tried 38 different brands of food with less than stellar results. He seemed to know there was something better and along came Timberwolf Organics. We made the switch a year ago and he's not missed a meal since. He's a robust eater and he pesters me for food throughout the day. He seems very satisfied during and after meals. His skin and coat are amazing, his energy level has increased and his muscle tone is perfect.
I also switched my female, INTL CH Camelot's Nymawae, WAC to Lamb and Apples with the same result. She has always eaten anything I put in front of her, but I can tell she thinks your food is the cat's meow. Thanks SO much for such a great product. "

" Greetings from Germany!

I have tried many products on the market for my German Shepherd such as Eukanuba, Royal Canin, and the list goes on just to find the right product for my dog that works right for her. These said products caused her nothing but skin problems for unknown reasons to me. Before trying your product, my GSD had a tummy infection which led me to take her off the many products I have used in the past that I thought was good for her and was safe, in my opinion these said products that I had purchased is not good for her what so ever! Since all of these dog food companies claim their food was better, more healthier for my pet, thus led me to believe their food was so much better than the others, so I tried everyone of them, throwing out 100's of Euro's per month just to find out the food was not good for my dog. I was referred to you by a friend of mine in the US who used your products and has been using it for years. Since your food was my last resort, I thought, what do I have to lose? I ordered a 33 lbs of Lamb and Apple, and I have to tell you, I see RESULTS such as her skin color (Pink), her coat is shiny, she's more muscular, she's more active than ever before, she's happy, and most importantly, She's eating more!

After she eats the entire bag I will purchase other varieties to see how she reacts to them.

I hope you will continue to sell your products in Germany, coz I am absolutely SATISFIED with your product you offer on the German market. "

Sincerely,

Michael

Jack and Blaise
" This is Jake the 4 year old German Shepherd (back) and Blaise the 1 year old Shiloh Shepherd (front). We discovered TO When Jake was about 2 years old. He had many digestive problems, trouble keeping weight on and was itchy much of the time. Timberwolf seemed to be the answer to all of our problems (along with a little Raw). We've been so happy with it that we started feeding it to our new puppy, Blaise. They are both happy, healthy, and wonderful dogs that get to share their lives with many as Therapy Dogs with Delta Society. "

Thank You!

Lindsey Lulu
" Meet Lindsey Lulu...a miniature schnauzer and a VERY finicky eater! Got her from rescue at 6 months old, went through ALL brands of dry food...she never cared for any and I always had to "doctor" them up with either different canned foods or people food. Now for the past 2 months, she doesn't eat anything but her Dakota Bison dry...and with GUSTO that I never imagined possible! She is almost 3 yrs old....her coat is shiny and in beautiful condition. I still cannot believe she just LOVES her dry food. Thank you so much! "

Mandi
" This is Mandi our Labradoodle. She has been on TimberWolf since she was four months old. Her favorite formula is the Lamb, Barley, and Apples Dry! Her parents (a Lab and a Standard Poodle) are also on TimberWolf. Their coats are super shiney, and they have so much energy now. Thank you for a great product! "

Jack Chinook
" This is Jack Chinook- a White German Shepherd. In this picture he is 9 months old. Jack has been eating Timberwolf’s Elk & Salmon blend since he was about 6 months and really loves it! We are always getting compliments on how fit and lean he is. If it looks like he’s in Chinatown that’s because he (and his family) are all living in Shanghai, China. We brought quite a bit of Timberwolf with us when we moved over in Summer ‘07. When we returned home to Washington State for Christmas, we brought empty suitcases to tote Timberwolf back to China!

Shilla
" Hi Timberwolf Oranics,

I have attached a picture of our Shilla. She is a Border Collie Mix, who is now 4.5 years old and weighs 55 pounds. We brought Shilla into our family when she was 8 weeks old. Had a tough time finding the right food that did not upset her stomach. My husband found info on your foods thru a local Pet Care Provider. She has been eating Timberwolf Organics since age 5 months. No more stomcah upset! Her favorite is Southwest Chicken and Herbs. She loves to swim, play with her toys and doggy friends. She goes everywhere with us and is always complimented on her coat and healthy look. We appreciate that you are looking out for our furry family members! "

Thank you!,

" Hello, I Have four dogs , a husky, boxer and two Chihuahuas. I feed Timberwolf to all of them and they cannot get enough of it! Both the boxer and Husky have had some medical issues, the boxer has had skin problems all of her life (shes 1 year old now) And the husky swallowed a rock and needed surgery so her stomach is very sensitive, we could never find a food that would settle right with her! Now we feed them Dakota bison and they absolutely love it, and I can see that they are both so much more comfortable now! Thanks so much for making such an awesome product!! "

Kunu and Najla
" This is Kunu and Najla. Kunu is a 17 week old male Akita puppy, and already an astonishing 48lbs. Najla is a full grown female akita and just had her second birthday. We discovered Timberwolf Organics a little over a year ago, and have not looked at another dog food since. Both are being fed the lamb, barley, and apples, and it always seems as if it’s a competition at the food dishes. There has never been a problem getting either one to eat. The vet told us that Najla is in great physical condition and has a beautiful, dense coat. Thanks Timberwolf Organics. "

We've literally tried dozens of different kinds of dog food before we found one that he would gobble up happily -- Timberwolf Organics! " I’d like you to meet ‘Senor Chico Bandito Mon’. He is a seven month old, blue merle, Australian Shepherd. Chico has been on Timberwolf Organic food since 6 weeks old and is also very fond of his Wild Salmon oil. His favorite activities include hiking with ‘his’ people and playing Frisbee. His vet clinic calls him the quintessential fit and healthy dog. He weighs 42 lbs., just perfect for his height and activity. Thanks so much for making such an outstanding variety of dog food. "

Oz
" Here is a picture of my South African Boerboel puppy (OZ) who loves Timberwolf Ocean Blue. After several thousand dollars in vet bills and lab work, finally my puppy is eating normally and no longer has constant diarrhea and itchy skin and hives and an odored discharge in his ears. Thanks to the suggestion of a pet food store employee who suggested I try Ocean Blue. I had previously started feeding Eagle Pack Holistic Giant Breed Puppy (which my breeder was feeding) then I tried California Natural Lamb and Rice, then EVO, then my vet had me using food that I would cook for the puppy but it lacked the nutrients that the pup needed. Now my pup has been eating ocean blue for 1 month and has nice firm stools and also his ears have cleared up. "

KKissou and Cali
" Here is a picture of my shiba inu kissou who is the pickiest eater (and a ham for a camera) I have ever had and my cat cali. I started feeding kissou timberwolf because a friend of mine recommenced it because I have gone through so many different foods with him. Timberwolf is the only food he will always eat and has never turned it down. My cat Cali was a stray that I took in that turned out to be pregnant. She is a small cat and I was concerned about her having kittens. I wanted to make sure she had a really good food so I went with your cat food. She did great on it and had 4 beautiful kittens. Thanks for creating such a great product! "

Kelly
" I switched my dog to your Elk and Salmon after trying to cook for her everyday. As much as I wanted to, it wasn't consistent, and she wasn't doing that great. I was a nutritionist for 20 yrs before becoming a RN, so I am into health for my dog. I told the people at the pet food store I was just getting tired of cooking all the time and they suggested a few things, one is your food. My dog started acting like a puppy again, looks good, better skin and fut. Thanks so much for a great product. I just sent your web site to friends on the west coast. "

Smithers
" I started Smithers on Timberwolf Dakota Bison last year. He was getting slower in agility because I was having a hard time getting his weight down, even feeding low calorie dog food. After reading about how dogs metabolize energy, I suspected that the high carbohydrates in the "diet" dog food might be part of the problem. Now, six months later, Smithers is fit and full of energy. And his coat is awesome! All my pugs love Timberwolf and they all look and feel better than ever. Thank you for making such a great product! "

Valentino
" Attached are pictures of my 1-year-old solid black German Shepherd Dog Valentino. I tried several dry dog foods before finding Timberwolf Organics and he did fine on them health-wise but didn't really enjoy them. When I first put out a bowl of the Lamb, Barley, and Apples formula he dug right in and ate the whole bowl right away! I've found that he likes the Wild & Natural Dry food the best, and he has gotten many compliments from dog trainers and vets on his beautiful, soft coat, bright eyes, healthy teeth and breath, and overall energy. I wouldn't dream of feeding him anything else, and I just placed an order for your new canned food to supplement the dry - can't wait for Valentino to try it. "

" Here is a picture of Dante, my Bengal cat who loves your Serengeti Dried Cat food. I was disappointed to see pictures of only dogs (a couple of cats) on your testers list. His digestion is perfect now, something I had a little problem with before Serengeti. So i hope to see him up on your web site. "

Before feeding her Timberwolf, she would scratch and scratch, then scratch some more. She would scratch so much, she made herself bleed. She has been on Timberwolf for 9 months now and the scratching is gone. Her coat looks beautiful and she has lot's of energy. I have recommended this product to quite a few friends and they all love it. Thank's Timberwolf, for making such a good product! "

Brooklyn and Noah
" Dear Timberwolf Organics, I am writing to thank you for your wonderful products. On November 9, 2007 I got Brooklyn, a 6 wk old German Shepherd. Brooklyn had diarrhea, dull coat and the vet said she needed to put on weight. I purchased a bag of Innova Large breed for puppies because I was told she needed a food made for Large breeds but the kibble was to hard and big. She really did not like it. she would only eat it if I added wet food or warmed it with water. I then switched to Nature's Variety. Same problem and she still had diarrhea. I ran across your food in Pet Supplies Plus and decided try it. I purchased a bag of the Southwestern Chicken and Wild & Natural. She ate the Southwestern Chicken without me adding anything to it. Her favorite is the Wild & Natural. Even my very picky Yorkie loves the Wild & Natural. Today when I took Brooklyn to the vet the whole office was amazed at how different she looked. Not only is her fur shiny but she has almost tripled her weight. I forgot to mentioned the diarrhea also went away once she started eating your food. I am so glad that I have finally found a wonderful product that is not only good for my dogs but they both love it. "

Sincerely,

Juanita Williams
